The FTSE 100 was 1.29 percent higher at 6661.3 and the FTSE 250 was up 0.25 percent to 11509.6.Wall Street was on the rebound at midday on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.52 percent to 13743.45 while the Nasdaq Composite was 1.29 percent higher at 2786.34 and the S & P 500 added 0.78 percent to 1526.26.Crude oil prices rose again, and prices of precious metals gained in New York.
